Anyone give me any ideas where I might be able to get my hands on some crates for my ever expanding collection of bottles?
I am preferably looking for free ones!

If you can't get crates you could ask your local off license if they have any spare boxes maybe. These will obviously be strong enough to hold bottles and, I would have thought, stacked as they would be when transported. Otherwise a supermarket - when we moved recently we went into supermarkets and asked for boxes and they were only too happy to get rid of them - although you would want to make sure they were the right size for bottles.
I've seen crates of beer bottles on offer on Ebay, but obviously that involves potentially travelling.
Just a thought

i actually use old safeway crates, they are big, sturdy plastic things that hold a good 30 bottles. safeway tried to get everyone to use them instead of plastic bags about ten years ago, as 3 of them fitted their trolleys perfectly, but i've inheirited them from my mum, we've got about 20 between us!
