Having recently brewed a few pales with higher chloride and moderate SO4, I decided to swing the other way with this one and go for something approaching Randy Mosher's ideal pale, with very low Chloride (27 ppm - my tap water base) and quite a good slug of SO4 (250 ish with gypsum and epsom salts). It'll be interesting to contrast this with a couple I've got condition with ~100ppm Cl and 150 SO4.
Uneventful full volume mash which I stopped when I hit the 1.043 pre-boil gravity (sample is a little warm in the pic, so I allowed an extra point):BeerSmith 2 Recipe Printout - http://www.beersmith.com

pumping over - this is working really well now:

tried 1/4 tab of koppakleer instead of protafloc for this one, just to give it a try. Got a very nice cold break and the clearest wort in a while - and got within a point of the 1.052 target. PItched a 1.5l starter of WLP090 which is definitely my new favourite APA yeast.

Looking forward to this one - as ever
