Hi all,
I recently got my keg system up and running - 2 kegs have been carbing up for about 10 or 12 days and are showing little signs of bubbles.
I had the reg set to 10psi for 10 days at 6 degrees and have reduced that to 4 degress and increased the psi to 20.
Still not much happening....
Am I being impatient??
Cheers all!

Re: carbing up
Should be at least a little carbed by now....
Try pulling the pressure relief valve - does gas come out under pressure? Can you hear more gas go in when you release the valve?
How are you testing the carbonation?

I can see a few bubbles in one of the brews. The release valve does release gas and I believe more gas goes in when I release valve it - will confirm this though.
I'm testing the carbonation by pulling off a small sample or two
One thing I'd like to mention is that my gas lines are bent up and form a kind of S shape to hit the keg - hopefully this wont cause a a problem but thought I'd mention
cheers for the reply

carbing up
2 weeks at serving pressure and temp works for me.
If you in a rush 30 psi for 24/48hrs.
If you're in a really really big rush sit on a chair with the keg on your lap and roll until you get bored.

Thanks for that, I am indeed in a bit of a rush, providing 3 kegs for my in-laws retirement party soonish so perhaps not the best time to be learning about kegs...I'm sure it will be fine

Re: carbing up
if they have been crash cooled and no sediment , connect the gas ,set it to 25psi , sit down with keg across your lap and rock back and forth pretty vigorously moving the keg only 6inch or so back and forth , you can hear the co2 being absorbed if your doing it right. 3-4 mins should be plenty , i use this method for lager and 4 mins is just right for my taste
