Mine turned up a couple of weeks ago and the postman managed to get it through the letter box it was so flat [-X but remarkably it pushed back into shape very easily and apart from one little kink is perfectly shaped. Bloody useless in use though, a recent brew with Galaxy pellets the bitterness extraction was abysmal .
I buy my grain & hops from here http://www.homebrewkent.co.uk/

Looks good, but I think the container is small, in my opinion.

I've used mine in about 6 brews now, no issues with bitterness or aroma using it with pellets or whole hops.
No idea why you aren't getting the bitterness using it. Unless you have a lot of hops in it? I have used up to 100g.

Are these all from the same seller or is there one that seems to have got the message about the packaging?

Cheers. Tom

I bought mine from the link on the first page. I did advise them to package them properly, and charge a bit more, when I raised it as an issue with the seller. To be fair, it still works, it just looks battered.

Having used this spider for 3 brews now, I think I'm not going to use it for any more. The mesh is way too fine, meaning it's impossible to clean properly, and it has poor circulation. I'm going back to my giant tea balls.
