It works fine and it has some sealer bags as freebies.

Thanks to this thread I got the cheap Andrew James one and have now vac packed me entire freezer it seems. Oh and my now dried hops :)

for those wanting to sousviede and marinade meat in the bag, keep the bag in the freezer and freeze the marinade in ice cubes, then quickly vac pack your meat ice cubes of marinade in the pre chilled bag to evacuate the air and seal the marinade which if in liquid form would mess up the vacpacker is now sealed in and can melt and marinade the dish.

if you dont chill the bag it can melt enough liquid just by dropping in the ice cubes to foul the vac packing, the sealing will fail if the bag mouth is wet.

Yeah, the one I posted the link to can cope with liquids, which is why I bought it! Hops are a secondary use to be fair.

I have one of the shiny stainless ones above too. Expensive but really well made and problems so far (6 months in, couple of pigs cured and packed!)

The Andrew James sealer is the one i use too. Great for hops and resealing dried yeast! I got recommended it and i would recommend it also if someone were asking :)
