First Bulldog epic IPA

Post by alix101 » Sun Oct 30, 2016 9:26 am

Epic because it took so long
Yesterday I brewed an IPA it was supposed to be a kolsch day but my ancient yeast had other ideas so US05 saved a brew day.

With the newest brewer in the family we brewed

6.5kg of MO
700g Munich
100g Torrified Wheat

Hops
Northern Brewer 30g 60min
Amarrilio 20g 20min
Protofloc 15 min
Tomahawk 20g 10min
Amarrilio 30g 5min
Waitii 30g 0 min
US05 2 pkts
I pushed the first brew on the system to the limits I wouldn't try a beer any bigger.
I almost put my back out getting the grain tube out.
Anyway I won't bore you to much with details but it turned out to be a 10hr brew day.... #-o

why did the brewday lasted 10 hours? i thought single systems were meant to save time?
