Must admit when I looked a few hours ago the first figure I saw was 544 Euros and I thought that was the price per unit!

Just done the same, postage was a BIT STEEP though.

I saw the shipping cost and actually said "ouch!". Hopefully this will be the first crowdfund campaign that i've backed that doesn't get majorly delayed by the Chinese New Year.

Do i need one of these?? No I already have my own badly boxed Jabba/Matho based brew arduino controller, a flashed stc1000 OVBS in the grainfather control box and a Leal box waiting ever so patiently to be wired upto the lager brewkit rims system..

BUT...... I have opted for one of these too, and am already planning on how it may fit into the g/f control box with perhaps a 2ndary ssr box strapped onto the g/f control box front?? hehe, we will just have to see..

It has been very complex and demanding but at the end smartPID is now live

I see already some pledge from UK and traffic from the forum and your community and thanks to all early adopter and backers but now the most important think is to spread the news to reach the maximum number of people.
I have chosen the hard way “all or nothing” to reach a certain volume and MoQ to keep production cost and consequently price affordable and next days I will start some mkt campaign but the success of the campaign depends greatly on you and the world of mouth is the key..I kindly ask you to engage your homebrewing, DIY enthusiasts, makers friends an let them know about the campaing

If you don't fully fund the campaign, will the Super Early Bird items still be available to purchase to those who already pledged to buy? I assume the 20 units on offer were from the 50 test batch.

The answer is definitely yes… the pre-production is running now so all the beta tester and super early bird baker will receive their smartPID and I continue to support it and develop (I have some features and enhancement in roadmap like fridge motor protection, pid autotuning..)

Than if the campaign will not reach the target will be my decision to understand how to proceed…I’m determined and confident of the product , off course the scale volume factor is really important in term of costs….se help me to reach the target !

Yes I do...I think I'm border line with "spamming" ... and your tollerance/support in your forum and community is really top !

End of the year is time for balance !
2016 has been very hard and exciting, one year of design, development, prototypes, test ..lot of work and effort but also satisfaction
The startup of the project is not so easy and still some work have to be completed but I hope 2017 will bring definitely SmartPID controller to life !
