Deebee's Imperial IPA is the bomb, no joke.

Deebee's Imperial IPA is insanely delicious, more so than most commercial beers, more so than anything at a beer fest, more so than most of my brews, more so than most of your brews. Try to arrange a trade with this dude, his beer could replace the currency of any number of developing nations. Anyone who says S-04/Whitbread-B is a bad choice for hoppy brews...suck it!

But beware--in case you hadn't already figured this out from my hyperboles--a single bottle will get you drunker than you've been in a long time.

Not in my experience? I find SO4 does mute the hops. But if you throw enough big American hops in they'll overcome that to a great enough extent.

Well, this is dry hopped with 2.5gl wach of nekson and chinook BUT the citrussy taste is not dominating by any means.
Had i used a yeast to make the hops more pronounced i would have used Nottingham ahead of 05.
Horses for courses.. i dont like the yeast in the same manner as i dont like or use cascades.
For me this beer was as hoppy as i needed it and still.let the spiceness of the rye come through.
Seymour drank this when it was about 10 weeks in the bottle. Personally i found it better at about 5-6.

I had a Riwaka beer this year made with S04 and it was lovely. Different things work, and we all have different tastes. I just do believe that S04 provides a more muted hop finish than US05. But there are other factors to consider in choosing a yeast for a beer.
