putting aside its a brand name for a minute, I thought Betadine was iodphor

interesting but I can't help but think is this one of those occasions where the homebrewer is being suckered into buying a hyped product... will ordinary betadine keep better diluted with filtered water the solution in my spray bottle keeps quite well diluted with straight tap water. i cant imagine brupak spending money on development, if the product is that good I suspect its ripped from a commercially available product - dare I say at a cheaper price.

There are several acidified iodophor products available from agricultural suppliers that are very cheap compared with the Brupaks stuff.

They are used to sanitise/clean dairy tanks and as such have been around for many years, being used safely in the dairy industry.

would it be worth identifying the commercial equivalent, and group purchasing 25ltr or so (if there are enough interested). I for one am always keen to drive down cost and increase convenience.
