I came across this and thought what the hell, I’ve not done a ‘kit’ for years.

But it came with no yeast but lists it in the ingredients.

What gives?

I could google it but I’d though I’d do my bit for the forum traffic.

Also what DME would suit this? Wheat?

Hey Lee,

The yeast is in the pouch, you will see when you open it up, yes we think its confusing as well. They are making it more obvious on the newer packaging.

Just use standard DME or LME, our turned out really well, dry hopped with 100g Nelson Sauvin.

Well it’s on. 500g of extra light DME and 300g dextrose. 1030 OG

Just ordered NS hops from crossmyloof 7.25, ouch.

Could I brew this with say US-05 to looses the banana/clove flavours next time?

It has Mangrove Jacks M20 in the kit.

This turned out really well, although a little ‘thin’. Could not smell the 100g dry hops whatsoever.

Think I’ll use 100% DME light next time instead of extra light and dextrose. Also going to brew short.

Still interested in opinions on using a different yeast to loose the banana and clove flavours.
