Jim's Northeast Brewer's Night.
Re: Jim's Northeast Brewer's Night.
I am not exactly in the Northeast (Suffolk born and living in Essex) but my Mrs went to university in Sunderland and has a real affinity with the area still. We love heading north, so hope to join one of these get-togethers this year

And we would love to meet you and your wife and talk of all the vast amount we'll find we have in common. Ask your Mrs if she'd like the chance to reminisce those days and more.Digby wrote: ↑Fri Feb 22, 2019 9:52 pmI am not exactly in the Northeast (Suffolk born and living in Essex) but my Mrs went to university in Sunderland and has a real affinity with the area still. Re: Jim's Northeast Brewer's Night.
My timetable is rather uncertain at present Jim, a few things happening that can't be ignored nor will be known much in advance, hence my silence. I am mostly free, just might not know until the very day.

Yeah, I also have stuff going on - I though once I retired I'd have time to do all sorts but it just hasn't worked out that way!
I'm sure at some point we can do this though.
Re: Jim's Northeast Brewer's Night.
I keep seeing this thread and thinking that I used to consider my native Scarbados as fairly 'northeast'; clearly not. It would be a long stagger home! I should have called out when I stayed in the Washington Premier Inn a year ago.

Re: Jim's Northeast Brewer's Night.
There's a north east homebrew club meet up at the Town Mouse in Newcastle tonight at 7pm.
It's a Facebook group (I'm not on Facebook myself) but I intend on gatecrashing if anyone else is interested?

Sounds like we have a lot in common we might discuss some time soon, if we might get our acts together.steviebobs83 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2019 8:08 pmScratch that, it was yesterday

It ended up not being too bad a night. Got chatting to the owner, who's a nice bloke and they got presented with an award from CAMRA whilst I was there.

I run the North East Home Brew Club and it would be great to see some you guys at one of our meet ups. We meet at 7pm at the Town Mouse on the second Tuesday of every month. I usually try and make the Jim's Beer Kit meet up nights too when they are on as well. Be good to see some new people though and probably some familiar faces too at our meet up.
