Adding Priming Sugar.

Post by Wizz69 » Tue Nov 17, 2020 9:14 am

I am about bottle a recent brew (12 ltr). I intend to dispense 4.5 ltr into a 5 ltr mini key and the rest in bottles.

I have always dissolved sugar and water then boiled it before adding to my dispensing bucket.

Want to know if it safe to add the sugar in without boiling direct to the mini keg and dispensing bucket instead?

I read a lot where people just add the sugar direct.

Perfectly safe. I suggest 10-12g table sugar in your mini keg.
Fermenting: Cherry lambic
Conditioning: English IPA/Bretted English IPA, Munich Helles, straight lambic
Drinking: Munich Dunkel, Helles Bock, Orval clone, Impy stout, Porter 2, Hazelweiss 2024, historic London Porter
Planning: Kozel dark (ish),and more!
