Help Wanted. BM20 Plus top lip dimensions

Did you just replace the connecting bit with a slightly different size or something else?
Interested to hear your thoughts about how it goes and particularly the cleaning after.
It must be a bit lively as those Speidel airlocks rarely get pushed out of place.

Yes made the connecting bars 20mm longer and reused the rivets and all is good.
Will go with a blow off tube next time. far too lively for an airlock.
Wil be moving to the secondary on Sunday so see how cleaning goes.

Shifted the BM brew and ferment to a secondary on Sunday, cleaning was no different than usual ,maybe a bit more crud on the element but that was it.
Beer came out nice and clear will keg next week and drink pretty soon after that.

Yep will stick with a blow off pipe next time,was too lively for an airlock.
Overnight mash brew and ferment in the same pot is certainly cutting the brew day down a bit.

What is causing the liveliness?
Is it the yeast you are using or is this volume? I have a huge gap with 25l batch.

Using Wilko Gervin Ale yeast.
Has always been a lively one for me.
Results always consistent as well.

No Mash i still cool my wort down with a Hydra and water butt water.

I kinda like getting the cooling done and the yeast pitched all in the same session.
Feels like the Brew day is complete somehow. Plus i normally brew overnight on Saturday and finish up Sunday. Work gets in the way otherwise.

I have gone completely the opposite... A little bit every morning.

I need to do a batch as a full brew day to compare & make sure I have not got any flavour creep.
