Bigster my Maplins thermo was knackered :(
I wired like yours and same result...a permanent feed to the fan with and without the relay LED being on...not good.
I might get another one and try again but going to look into alternatives first, cheap ones of course

IRM, my ice bottles are now lasting at least 48 hrs ;)
The current set are 48 hours and still 1/2 frozen.
With the drop in air temp recently (23 deg c in house) the fan is only coming on every couple of hours and maintaining 20 perfectly ;)

Vossy

Shame about your joe maplins thermo. Hope you have better luck with your next try.

Have been in the garage tonight filtering and bottling a load of wine and kept hearing the fan on my chiller kicking in every 3 or 4 mins but is only running for 10 seconds . Its maintaining a very nice temp range of 17.2 to 17.7c though :D

That's a superbly tight temperature range Bigster, you've certainly cracked that one ;)

I am amazed at how well they work and how efficient they are ice and electricity wise!
I'm very tempted to build one, although i'm still looking out for a suitable old fridge!
