I've just taken delivery of aplastic fermenting bin I bought in a rush online without checking it had a tap. I've also just bought a stainless steel bottling wand/stick. Can anyone recommend anywhere I can buy a drum tap with fast delivery? The type I'm after, I think has a knurled knob rather than a lever. Whatever type I buy needs to have an inside diameter of 9mm into which the barb of the wand will fit. I have a reducer which will step that up to 11mm internal diameter or an outside diameter of 13mm. I can pack out with some PTFE if necessary
Failing that, can anyone tell me what the internal and external diameters of syphon hose are?
Drum Taps
Re: Drum Taps
I personally don't like taps, much prefer to syphon.
Syphon hose come in many sizes?

Re: Drum Taps
I only had one drum tap and it wasn't that great, maybe I was unlucky. My plastic bottling stick has about the same outside diameter as the lever tap so a short piece of silicone hose is ideal for joining the two. But I use a long length of hose; my bottles sit still in a crate and I move the stick from bottle to bottle rather than offering each one up.

Into the outlet push a few inches of gas hose. Fits perfect and you have a very handy bottom fill beer gun.

Re: Drum Taps
Thanks guys. I've realised I don't think I actually meant a drum tap and have now (kind of) solved the issue by cutting the end off the tap and adding some PTFE.
