My first go with this, in an ESB of 1.049: 3.3 gallons.

It was burping through the airlock every 15 seconds 22 hours after pitching.
This morning every 4 seconds 46 hours after pitching.

Is it repackaged Nottingham?

I have no idea, but on a different forum I saw a post claiming it was similar to S-04.

That would probably explain the “London” name. I have two packs and wondered what it was like. Good to know, thanks!

Beer tastes good. I'll be using this again.

Does it taste like S04 or is it more neutral?

I don't detect anything yeast related.

Interesting! So definitely not S04. Even Nottingham has a distinct taste to me so maybe it’s more like an American ale yeast. Maybe similar to BRY 97 because it drops clear?

I found this thread when looking for replacement yeasts for 5/6 kits left over from lockdown.

Unfortunately I haven’t been brewing for many years and indeed my local home brew stores are long gone.

So may I ask where can you buy this please?

Many thanks
