I need a good BLONDE

Post by bandit » Mon Sep 10, 2007 4:25 pm

I am looking for a good blonde recipe to brew before Crimble. Has anyone got any ideas as I want to call it Goldilocks so any basic dumb blonde will do as long as I can make her my own.

Don't we all :D

This came out very nice, its hopped quite low so its very much like something you would get down the pub with perhaps a bit more flavour and nose to it than the commercials.

4.25 Kg lager Malt
0.25 Kg Carapils
0.25 Kg Vienna
0.25 Kg Wheat
mash at 65 C for 90 mins
Hopped to about 20 IBU with Saaz hops 3 %.

35g 90 mins
21g 30 mins
21g 10 mins

ferment with either nottingham or US-05

Or you could try something like this which was also very good but with a lot more hop flavour and aroma

lager malt 3kg
Marris Otter 1.75kg
wheat malt 0.25g

66C mash for 90 mins
Boil for 90 mins

cascade (6.8%) 15 mins 80g

US-56 ale yeast
