Hi,

Bit of an emergency question. I am currently brewing outside, but my halogen lamp has gone and it's not virtually dark. I'm just at the lautering stage now, and won't be able to boil tonight. My question is this : is to possible to boil this wort tomorrow? Or do I have to chuck my work (not enough room inside for brewing)?

I've read of people cooling overnight (post boil) so I would have thought you can snap a lid on (pre boil) and boil it up tomorrow I'd imagine that the boil will kill off any possible chance of infection.

Hmm....maybe I'd better hunt out a torch and boil then. Won't have time tomorrow morning.

Aye, I'm 30mins into a 90 minute boil now. Do you think curtailing the boil to 60mins will have a huge detrimental effect?

I've left the wort 24hrs a few times before boiling it, if your worried drop a campden tablet/gal in to protect the wort overnight and seal the lid tight, of course it's best to avoid off flavours and leaving it isn't ideal but nothing survives a 60minute boil.
