I usually visit my local shop so I've only ever ordered over the internet once before and that was with Brewgenie, I didn't have any problem with them so will definitley order again.

i have had similar problems (i.e. order something off the website and it not arriving then phone and its out of stock but it will be in tomorrow, then have to phone again a week later as its not arrived etc) with easybrew.

i wouldnt rush back to using them again, its a shame really as they seen really sound.

I know that Annette (?) from easybrew is a member of the forum.

Jim - would it be possible to forward this thread to easybrew to provide some valuable feedback on their service ? I know that they try really hard to provide everything we've ordered but I really think it would be worth them knowing that if they updated their website to to take account of the 'real' stock they have it will give a signifcantly improved customer service and reduce the number of frustrated homebrewers :!:

I have only just seen this post, so please accept my apologies that your problem was unresolved. I have checked through all our emails over the last couple of months and can find no trace of our having received them. However, we have been having some problems with our send a message page which has now been resolved. If you would like to send me an email with your details and, if you still have it, your original order number I will be happy to resolve the problem for you. Please email me at annette@easybrew.co.uk

Fortunately/unfortunately we have been a victim of our own success recently. Since the move the larger premises and the increase in business both in the shop and in internet sales we had been unable to keep up with demand. These problems have now been resolved and we are able to despatch orders much more quickly and customer service has improved. We now also have more staff to cope with this demand so we are now shipping orders within 1-2 days of receiving them and we ship on a next working day service.

With regards to hop and grain orders there can sometimes be a delay because we stock such a large range and we place large orders with our supplier it can take 7-10 days for an order to reach us. With discussions with our hop and grain supplier we will be receiving stocks more often and should not in the future run out.

Please do feel free to contact me directly either by email at annette@easybrew.co.uk or on the telephone 01425 479972.

Regards
Annette

As a PS

Our opening hours are Monday to Saturday 10am - 4pm.

I have taken onboard all of your comments regarding stock situation We don't use an off the shelf website and have spent a lot of time and money having it developed. We are in the process of having the website updated which will enable us to show whether or not items are in stock. This should be completed within the next 2 months. In the meantime, every morning when we print off the orders I go through them all and email all customers advising if items are out of stock, advising when they will be in stock and asking if they wish to make any changes to their order so we can despatch it more quickly.

I've always used Art of Brewing internet ordering. My first order a few years ago was complicated but arrived within 48 hours - all correct. My last order came the next day!!! I was gobsmacked, so far seems a very efficient firm.
