Well, the rule of thumb for the gravity at which a beer levels out is one quarter of the starting gravity.
For a wort which started at 52, that would be around 13, so you're not far away, and you may get there yet. Your mash conditions may have produced a very slight overbalance of dextrins, which are less fermentable.
I personaly prefer a slightly sweeter beer, so I'm sure I would love it!
Some yeasts tend to stop at a slightly higher gravity than others. What yeast did you use?

I've used the safbrew S.33. this yeast work very quick (like me!!
)
the beer taste well, and tonight it's still at 1015. I think to rack the beer with insinglass and a bit of sugar on thursday.
You could be right Jim, because the bitter I make a month ago stop also at 1016 and was very good (was drunk also of course)
I've mash at 66°C for 90mn and sparge at 72°C.

Well , yesterday I've a party at home with some friends, a good opportunity to know how is the stout and the golden beer I make 3 weeks ago .
The golden beer was a bit strong but very good.
The stout was absolutely gorgeous, I plan to make it again, my friends have drunk all the cask, fortunately I kept 15 ltr in bottle wich are also really good

Whilst my normal plan with brewing is to find something that works and stick with it, I hunted out another stout recipe in case you were interested...
