hi this is my first post, i've been reading to forums for a few weeks now.
i've just tried my first brew for a long time (geordie Lager). Flat as a pancake with not much of a flavour very watery. is there any thing i could do to improve the flavour or is it just that the kit is watery. and the bottles i used didn't seal very well.
the next one hopefully will have more success (brewmaker Pilsner) which i'm just about to bottle.
1st brew down the drain
Lager without fizz is pretty insipid. I'm not sure what bottles you used, but if you are confident that you could reseal them you could try re-priming them - I would add 1 tsp sugar per 500ml to PET bottles, rouse the yeast in the bottles and place somewhere at fermenting temperature again for a few days.
Apart from that, it the shandy suggestion as above!
