Good work that man , you've got the taste, you don't drink with your eyes do you? So what's a little haze between a man and his homebrew? . You could always add finings to help it clear down quickly, or wait a week or so to leave everything to settle down and clear naturally.

The flavours i'm getting out of this brew are top drawer (is that a correct statement ), anyway, better than stuff i pay good money for out in the pubs.

I tilted the boiler to try and get all the liquid into fv so i probably got all the rubbish that should have stayed with the hops.

I prefer to think of it as yeast nutrient Good work by the way they get even better from here on in!

Well, have tried a few pints of this and to my mind the taste is far superior to anything i ever brewed before. So for anyone thinking about going all grain, trust me you will be amazed at the difference in quality.

Great result, now you can understand why the all grainers are always trying to convert the kit makers to the dark side, the difference in taste is huge.

Perhaps we should create one on JHBF. There must be a good enough spread of kit and AG brewers to make it happen

Nice one. I serve my hazy beers in clay or pewter pint mugs, they still taste great. What's the next brew going to be then?

I must admit... I tilted my boiler too! Looked to be so much lovely beer going to waste otherwise! I was careful though... but I bet it is as hazy as my memory the morning after the night before

Glad it is tasting good, mine is only in day 2 of fermentation so I haven't had a sample other than of the straight wort - and that was much nicer than the stuff you make kit brews out of, despite my inadequate technique. Wonder if it is like so many other things in life - shit in is shit out.... in which case I may have achieved not so bad in, not so bad out for the first brew!!!!

Its sounding really promising there. I've had a few sample tube tastings of mine so far and its been spot on too.

Goes to show how forgiving the whole process really is. Seem to be able to make a few small mistakes (and maybe even some clangers sometimes) and it STILL comes out better than any kit.

Just stuck my nose in my first brew - it actually smells like beer!

This is something of a revalation as kits never quite manage to smell of beer, so I am really hoping for something good on the taste front with this! Poured away the Muntons yesterday and cleaned everything up ready to barrel in a couple of days time (will give the barrel another clean along with the syphon tube just before doing so, but figured that it wouldn't hurt to give it a wash out and bleach before hand as I was cleaning the AG kit up anyway!)

Beer... it's bloody ace!
