Sorry for not updating sooner but we were too busy drinking

It would seem to be ok at the moment. I vented and reset the gas at 5 psi and adjusted the flow control on the tap whilst pouring and got it to an acceptable flow. It's not the fastest poured pint but it works and end up with about an inch head which like Vossy we were topping up.

Anyway, six pints and a kebab later my only concern was this ain't gonna last long  :(

I was given a masterclass in how to pour a pint last night, we had friends over and i was struggling to get anything other than a pint of foam out of my cornie of lager (high pressure since its a lager).
A guy that used to be a bar man showed me exactly how to pour a pint, the differnence between my effort and his was immense.

What he did was to use the drip tray and let the first bit of beer run through the tap until it runs clear and then and only then put the beer glass under the tap. As the pint was pouring he was adjusting the flow control to produce the perfect pint.

This was a bit of an eye opener, before this i thought the solution to foaming issues was in the PSI, tubing diameter, length etc, just goes to show how important technique is.

Oh yeah forgot to mention that this was a proper pub style tap, King Keg top taps thank goodness i've seen the back of them.
