My first TC !! agh !

The one on the left !

4.5L of Asda Apple juice, half a pack of hovis bread yeast and 300g of sugar.

Overnight its gone mental, filled up the airlock with water/yeast and developed a strange foam " hat " on top of the brew....Is that normal !?

You might want to take the airlock out for a little while until the head stops foaming up and then put a clean sterile one back in!

Then wait for the volcanic eruptions of yeast from the bottom of the demi-john 8) 8)

Done ! I gave the demijon a bit of a shake about too, to get all the stuff off the sides !

Its now looks like this :-

Still fizzing away, but obviously going to have to wait for the pressure to build up again before the airlock will bubble again ! :)

They're at 21degs ish.

Actually, since that pic was taken ( about 12 1/2 mins ago ! ) its actually become a lot more lively ! :lol:

Looks about usual to me! :lol:

I've just bottled batch #4 and put on batch #6 (batch #5 will be bottled tomorrow), whilst drinking batch #1. ;)

Thrasher...it will take about 2 weeks or when it turns clear.Either bottle it with 30ml AJ per bottle or just drink it straight from the DJ via a syphon tube :lol: :lol:

actually if you get the siphon tube right (down your neck a bit) you can use it like a party shooter and down the whole load in seconds! without swallowing!
careful though as a friend of mine wasnt exactly lightweight and used a party shooter on about 15 x 300 - 400ml bottles of them alcopops and blacked out for 30 minutes :lol: was still funny though.
