FG too low?

I doubt the calculation is "crap". More likely the original or final gravity reading was incorrect.

I've used a refractometer (and the same calculation ;) ) for 18 months and it's always tallied with the hydrometer whenever I've checked it. There must be something wrong with a reading, a fault with the refractometer or Scarer's beer's been infected with a wild yeast :( .

Next brew I think I will take readings using both the refractometer and hydrometer every time.

Maybe you could check my refractometer Phil on your next brew day?
