I have a coopers real ale kit in FV, and will be ready for botteling this coming week sometime, however, on reading instructions its advising 8gs sugar per liter - 23lts x8gs = 184g = 6.5oz - which sounds like a lot to me.

And while your here, is this the way to do it?
When ready, I will rack into another FV add priming sugar, mix it gentally then bottle into pint bottles.
