There are one or two things I'm confused about, and that is the much mentioned 1006 gravity figure after sparging and it being the time to stop.
I am fly sparging but I am confused about how I should adjust the hydro reading for temperature. The wort will be well above 20C so is the 1006 an adjusted figure, or is it the actual reading from the hot wort.
Also I'm assuming that this figure is from the total wort collected i.e. from the first more concentrated runnings plus the sparged runnings

Lastly, am I right in thinking that the target gravity I'm aiming for (1038 OG) occurs because of the boiling process and evaporation/ concentration of the wort.
