Brewday 25/04/07 - Wez's Big Kenny
Having a go at this one today, unless you have any suggestions Wez about a definitive version i'm going to go roughly with this formulation : viewtopic.php?t=8597
All i'm doing is changing the bittering hop from Fuggle to NZ Hallertau... so here it is tweaked to my brewlength. Also these Styrian Goldings are Bobeks... I used the original Styrians a lot and they're my favourite hop so i'll be disappointed if they're not similar! Anyone have any thoughts on that?

Water that has come from the highlands can have a brownish tint due to being filtered through peat. The last time I was in Fort William it was distinctly "light tan". The water company may have changed source. I would work on the tried and true rule of if it tastes fine, it will be fine.mysterio wrote:Actually the water has a brownish tinge to it in the HLT, tempted just to abandon this batch...What does everyone think?
