Golden Glory is lovely. Used to like Old Speck but went off it.

Same goes, you're just boiling to extract the hop bitterness. :)

Hay Max, what put you off Speckled? Was it the brewery change or did you just get bored of it?

Is it wrong to try some of the first ferment? It always looks so nice, I want it, I want it!
No, it's a good thing that you sample your brew at every stage, that way your more likely to know if it's progresing as you want it to, or if it's not....so to speak

I presume it was the brewery change. One week to the next it just stopped tasting good.

Well had a sneaky peek at both of them last night.

The Brupaks:

This looks to have finished fermenting now, I could not find my hydrometer to measure the final gravity so a comparative reading will not be done till Saturday night. Then I can hopefully start to bottle it.

The Harvest Mild with Goldings:

This looks to be still going, the yeast I used was young’s ale yeast and it looks as if it’s going crazy. Might take a reading on Saturday and again on Sunday

Trying to bottle both batches in one night could be fun but allot of work.

Both FV in my airing cupboard have maintained a temp of 22DegC.

Was a bit worried about the temperature trying to get it at 20 but I took stability over fluctuating temperature.

It is a little bit warm, but you'll only know if it's affected it in the tasting.

HI All

No it wasn't.

We are getting there. In fact from tomorrow morning we another person starting in the warehouse to help catch up even more quickly.

I am in the process of contacting everyone who still has an outstanding order. For those who wish to proceed with their orders, by way of apology for the delay we are including free brewing stuff which hopefully will go someway towards making up for the inconvenience.

In fact a certain member who received a free kit, received one which costs twice what his original kit cost.

OK, Annette, apologies if I jumped the gun there. The proof of the pudding will be when people stop complaining about late/unfulfilled orders, I suppose.

Well it's now Sept 18th (a month after this post) and it does appear nothing has changed, after my mate made an order (some of which is for me) last week there is still no sign and your not replying to emails or answering the phone. And there have been posts dating from March with problems being reported. Stop taking orders if you are having so much trouble with the orders as this sort of thing must be doing massive damage to your reputation if its not even getting you into trouble.
