morning all

ive been reading about the anchor steam beer made in america and wondered if any one had tried using a kit but switching the yeast for a proper
lager strain and brewing at higher temperature.

any opinions? and if so what kit do you recommend?

Anchor are using a rather unusual yeast strain to make their beer - it's available in liquid form. I don't think you'd get good results warming up a normal lager yeast but using a clean ale yeast (US-05 for example) would probably be better.
