plastic bottle carbonation

hi all i bottled my coopers euro lager yesterday into plastic 500ml bottles adding 1 teaspoon of sugar per bottle but after 28hrs im getting no pressure build up in the bottles any ideas or am i being to impatient :?

Chill out, one of my last brews i left in the warm for 2 weeks to carbonate, and a more recent one for 1 week :)

about two weeks is good for a decent carbonation to build up

yes the bottles were primed with silver spoon (it was in the cupboard) but the last kit i did seemed to pressure up very quickly compared to this one, i will keep an eye on the little buggers and use various threats if they dont start soon :twisted:

Just out of interst how long did yours take to ferment at what temperature and your FG

fg 1006 at about 16 degrees it was in the fv for eleven days due to work / family demands but still had two identical readings over three days, i also used bke ipo sugar and used saflager yeast

Silver Spoon is "sugar beet" sugar, not cane sugar, is that o.k to use I ask myself, someone ? Don't want to spread panic !

Yeah, I saw a thread somewhere on JBK about this very subject, I think the jist of the whole thing was that it doesnt matter what you use, Silver Spoon or T & L, its so similar it wont make any noticable difference. And that came from the mouth of a master of all things sugary.

tell me about it the small clear bottle I done is nearly clear so the smaller green bottles must be too =P~ =P~ =P~ =P~ =P~

The mrs is due in two weeks so think I can wait till then to wet the babies head :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

You really should get plenty of practice in before hand just to be sure :lol:

Don't forget afterwards there won't be so much spare time available :(
