I ordered one yesterday afternoon and it arrived first thing this morning! It has a Tesco label showing a price of £3.77.Waffty wrote:Got one ordered & even with the postage, it comes in at £4.95, so 4p cheaper than Lidlhotmog wrote:This is cheaper and slightly thicker http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0410066229

Fitted it to my boiler over the weekend & it went on sweet, just need to finish off the joining/sealing with some aluminium tape I've bought, which should help to seal it & thus make it 'wipe cleanable'.
Once it's completed, I'll be interested to see how it effects the boil time.
Anyways, at £4.95 delivered, it's deffo worth the experiment.
Looks like I'll have to get the pink mat coz I've got both a lager & a shandy in FVs. OMG!OldSpeckledBadger wrote:You forgot lager drinkersStrangeBrew wrote:...and HERE'S one for the girls/shandy drinkers
TBH I wasn't sure which way round it was supposed to go, but I figured that it's easier to clean splashes of wort off the shiny side rather than off the foam rubber, and insulation-wise it's probably swings & roundabouts anyway.OldAl wrote:So the foil backing is just decorative to make your kit look shiny-shiny?![]()
I thought for insulation purposes eg on a mash tun, the foil went on the inside.
