Two-Can Kits
Two-Can Kits
So this is probably a dumb question, but...
Are the two cans in a two-can kit identical? To be more specific, if I bought a Wherry kit, could I make a 2.5 gallon brew from each can? Just wondering...

Re: Two-Can Kits
Yep same stuff in both cans! Although idea of a kit hybrid is forming! any one done a hybrid say half wherry half crusader?
Re: Two-Can Kits
Why would you want to do that? Seems like you're making work for yourself.robharper wrote:.... could I make a 2.5 gallon brew from each can?
Re: Two-Can Kits
One can Half a Kit? I was considering using three cans in a 40 pinta.

Re: Two-Can Kits
Basically, I drink beer more slowly than I make it, so it's nice to do some smaller batches. I've just started getting into extract brews of around 10 litres, which suits me fine (and allows me to experiment more), but I like to do kits too.Lillywhite wrote:Why would you want to do that? As for the work... So what? This is a hobby!

Re: Two-Can Kits
OK, but you don't have to rush to drink it and you should remember that the condition of your brew will vastly improve after 6-8 weeks, so even after 6 months it will still be be fine.robharper wrote: Basically, I drink beer more slowly than I make it, so it's nice to do some smaller batches.

Re: Two-Can Kits
Very true, Lilly. Though at the moment I'm enjoying having a few different brews available to choose from rather than one or two large batches. I'm definitely making sure that I keep a few bottles from each batch for a few months before drinking.
Re: Two-Can Kits
Fair play I've just realised I'm going to run out of bottles soon! Think I'll have to get another 80 or so!
