I had previously took a temp reading in the cupboard and it was 23 c but I've now got a min/max thermometer and have now found out that after it being in there for a few days it says Max 29.5 Min 22.3 and was at a steady 27 when I took it out

Could this be the reason my beer wasn't 'impressive'? Have I over the week or so fermented it too higher temp? Thinking about it now all my kits had been very active the first 48 hrs then stopped bubbling.
If this could be the reason I'll find a new place to ferment and give the Coopers kits another fair chance
