Its probably because 2.4kw (10A) is the max in the spec for the modern IEC kettle leads. There are also similar looking 3kw elements available from the heating element company (and no doubt elsewhere) but they need the older round type of kettle plug (or other leads that exceed the spec) which are rarer and more costly. Its personal choice, both types of element are great and there's nothing wrong with either, but I wouldn't be concerned about the slightly lower power; with 2-elements in a boiler that size the difference is small.Bopper wrote:But them elements as above are only 2.4kw Richard
