Splitter's Bitter - 14.04.07
Hello all!
After my first ag attempt last night (splitter's stout) i'm going for a hoppy, darkish bitter today.
I reduced the Pale malt from 4kg to 3.5 after getting 83% efficiency yesterday.
here's the recipe,
Splitter's Bitter (5 Gallon)
3.5kg Pale Malt MO
0.25 Crystal Malt
0.1 Chocolate Malt
28g Target (start Boil)
28g Golding (last 60)
28g Golding (last 30 min)
28g Golding (last min and steep)
Safale04
Mash - 90 min at 67 Boil - 90 min
Target OG 1.040
Here we go again!

right hopefully this will do it.

My 3-tier setup half way through the sparge, with fermenter waiting patiently in the background.

The Sparger

Boiling

Cooling, and finaly (if it fits!)......

tucked up in the cellar. the fruits of the 24hr brewathon, stout on the left, bitter on the right.
Definatly time for another beer.
Cheers all!
