Does anyone have a recipe for a Pale Brew dry and hoppy for a 19l batch........

First Gold Whole 8.3 % 20 mins 0 lbs. 0.6 oz 16 grams 31.4%
First Gold Whole 8.3 % 15 mins 0 lbs. 0.4 oz 10 grams 19.6%
Cascade Whole 5.7 % 15 mins 0 lbs. 0.4 oz 10 grams 19.6%
Perle Whole 8.25 % 90 mins 0 lbs. 0.5 oz 15 grams 29.4%


Final Volume: 19 Litres
Original Gravity: 1.043
Final Gravity: 1.010
Alcohol Content: 4.3% ABV
Total Liquor: 27.5 Litres
Mash Liquor: 12.8 Litres
Mash Efficiency: 75 %
Bitterness: 36 EBU
Colour: 7 EBC

What Yeast did you use? I have Whitlabs "California Ale Yeast".....do you think that will be ok?

That yeast will be perfect (US05 is the dried version). It will dry out to about 1.012 and leave you with plenty of hop aroma.

we actually used notty but us05 is better.

Nice one California Ale Yeast it is......

Really looking forward to doing this one. I tend to use Crystal all the time, and most of my brews are red in colour.......

I want to try something with a simple grain bill, but nice and hoppy......i think this recipes just the job, thank you all again...

pale malt alone will give you good pale brew, if you want more body, ad others( crystal etc** as required :D
no palate, no patience.

And if you want to add some sweetness but not change the colour too much you could use pale crystal or caramalt, or a combination.
